Alice Katz spent many years teaching art to children in public schools and to adults before becoming a psychotherapist. She has been making art her entire life using fabric, paper, paint, and found objects to create sculptures, wall hangings, paintings, and, most recently, photomontages. Her work has been shown in many galleries and museums in Connecticut and is in private collections in Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts.

In addition to continuing to create art, she has offered private counseling and continuing education classes on anger management, wellness, and compulsive eating issues. She is the author of books on these subjects.
